Comfrey makes and remarkable green fertilizer for plants and feed for livestock. It is high in nutrients, due to its long tap root that pulls from deep beneath the root zone of other plants. It has many health benefits, including healing open wounds, a natural super bandage. As always, do your own research, I am not a scientist, and only speak from personal experience. It is also a hummingbird and bee favorite when in flower (May-June for Zone 6).This is the Bocking 14 variety of Comfrey. That means unlike other comfrey varieties that readily self sow from seed, this is a sterile variety, and it can only spread through the roots. It will NOT quickly take over your garden if left unattended. This variety is also the remarkably nutrient dense of any sterile variety. Since it is a hardy perennial, you’ll never have to buy it again!Cutting is rooted and ready to plant, like the one shown in last photos, I trim leaves back for shipping if the weather is extreme.Always organically grown.
