Therefore, please consider this item as defective/junk.＜Product Condition＞* I inserted a rectangular battery I had, put in a cassette tape, and pressed the PLAY, FF, and REW buttons. While I could hear the motor running, playback and fast forward/rewind did not work.* The radio receives both AM and FM signals, and I was able to confirm sound output.* I have not tested the recording function or operation with AA batteries.* There may be other undiscovered defects.
