Irving Penn (1917 – 2009) was an influential American photographer. This survey shows examples of his fashion photography, still lifes, nudes and portraits, including some from his time in fresh Guinea and Morocco. In 1995 Penn donated his professional archives to the Art institute of Chicago and this was published in conjunction with an exhibition of the archive 22 November 1997, to 1 February, 1998.
