sought-after ! Antique Chinese dagger red enamel cloisonné scabbard & jade green stone hilt

I found this item in a thrift browse and I was automatically drawn to the vibrant colors and floral pattern. Thrifting is a hobby of mine as you never know what you may find.

I have done some research and am not an expert, but from other examples it seems to be an antique dagger likely from the Qing Dynasty. A dagger enjoy this was not intended for battle but typically used as ceremonial. the blade definitely seemed like it was forged by some sort of blacksmith and not machine made.
Putting a value an item appreciate this can be tricky especially when it hasn’t been it had not been authenticated by an expert who could give more insight. I found similar pieces selling in auctions ranging from $150 to over $1000. eBay has one that is exceptionally similar to mine. They are the same length, materials, design, etc. a listing price does not constitute a valuation as anybody can list an item at any price.
